Life in the SLO lane. After 16 years in Minneapolis, where I become an avid runner, I moved to the California Central Coast. I'm 67 and have been running since I was 50. I've finished 10 marathons, with a 5:49 PR. Aways trying to get faster.

Hooray, Hooray, Hooray!
Congratulations to Don, who ran an indoor marathon yesterday. The field of 30 runners ran around the track at St. Olaf college in Northfield (not far from Carleton College, where Hal Higdon went to school.) That's how many laps around the track? I'll let him tell you.
Congratulations also to Minnesota Firefly Denise, who ran the Rock and Roll Half-Marathon yesterday in Phoenix. With temperatures in the 30s, she must have felt right at home--except at home yesterday the temps were in the single digits! Her friend, Full Metal Lunchbox, posted the results and pictures for her on his blog.

amazing--an indoor marathon. What a great job!
I think I'd get rather loopy if I had to run a marathon inside.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your visit to he Garmin Booth at CES!
An indoor marathon is crazy.
I miss Northfield. I lived there for a few years. It had a great small town feel.
Indoor marathon. Craziness! Can't even fathom....WOW!
And Yay for Denise!
Cool! Runners blogs that I haven't seen yet! Gonna check them out!
Stay warm!
I ran a half in Phoenix this last week-end as well, and I was numb with the cold when I set off. The cold was merciless. Not fun, but a great race anyhow.
Thank you, Dori. I had to reality check when I was in Phoenix. The palm tree reminded me that I was still there and just running the race in COLDER temps.
Thanks Dori. For anyone interested, here are the full results of the Zoom! Yah! Yah! Indoor Marathon, compiled and published by race director Dick Daymont.
