Here are some pictures from the Big Sur race, photographed by SD.
Early morning wake-up call.
Fortunately for me, this Denny's was just across the street from the hotel and open 24 hours for pre-race nutrition.
Love is walking your wife to the bus before the sun is even up.
How far is that marathon?
Medaled!
Michele and Eric met us for some post-race coffee later that night. They're wearing their "I Survived Hurricane Point" shirts. They're too modest to wear their medals; however, I wore mine all day and to dinner! The marathon finisher's medal has the Bixby Bridge on it--that's the one I want next.

NICE Blog :)
Those two people you are with are sure good-lookin'!
It was a great race and such a fun trip. Tomorrow is Tacoma...
It was really great to meet and spend time with both of you!
Bixby Bridge, the coast, Monterey, the Z-car, were all very enjoyable.
Thanks for being a part of a very memorable weekend in our lives.
GREAT pics Dori!
You look radiant wearing that fancy medal.
Hope you are doing great.
What a huge piece of hardware! I'm instantly jealous. I loved the Fying Pig medal I collected last week, with its deep relief pig on both the front (head) and back (tail), but now I see one that's even more spectacular. Congratulations on earning it!
I love the pictures!!
Oh fabulous! Congratulations on doing Big Sur.
Fun pictures, fun friends!!
Loved the pictures! I had a good laugh at the cell phone pic with the wake up time!!!
I'm hoping we'll be able to see each other while you're here for the marathon next month. Keep me posted.
you need to change your description over there on the side of your blog. your personal best has been smashed!
what a cool medal! Congratulations!
Ahhh Big Sur, my impossible dream! Congratulations for the report, the race, the pictures and....why not....for the wonderful medal!
Hope you are doing great. Sorry I missed you the other week. Would have been great to see you!
Very cute!! You know, keep bay to breakers in mind for next year!! I have a friend that just moved to San Fran and she had suggested it to me but it had already been on my mind cause, it's my birthday that day even!!
Good luck this weekend!!
